I tell my kids that I started my first scrapbook with the birth of my first son. I wanted his baby book to be special and unique. I wanted to be able to add to it. So, in essence, that was my first scrap-booking attempt.
But really it started before that. It started with hours spent trying to draw my feelings on to a piece of paper. It started with hours of journaling and story writing in junior high and high school. It started with walking into this wonderful store, filled with paper, stationary, cards, handmade papers, foil, ribbons, and color.
A scrapbook page is just a frame for a story. It's only natural that I would want to learn more ways to tell my story.
